The day in the life of a CSR can be a boring one (I should know, I am one). Sometimes the day to day questions can be mundane and predictable. So, I suggest that if you contact customer service for a company; try to think of at least one question that would be interesting. I have included a few ideas.

Your power company:

How much will it cost me if I leave my vibrating bed on all day? My cat seems to like it.
My child threw my toaster in the tub; will I be charged for the time the power was out?
I seem to be going through a lot of light bulbs; do you think the power is on too strong?

Your internet provider:

Where do I download the Internet?
I think my neighbor can see what I’m looking at online; can you hack into his account and check it out?
I keep hearing about ‘search engines’, is the internet only for car enthusiasts?

Your garbage company

How much loose pudding do you think I can fit into my toter?
Would your driver be offended if I tried to decorate him in tinsel?
I think werewolves are getting into my trash, what can you do about this?

Your credit card company

I’m thinking of buying a host of concubines…what would the interest rate be?
I think someone purchased a Llama farm on my card, but I can’t prove it. Can you search for Llama farms that are for sale in my area?
I’m short on cash this month; could I possibly pay you in quiche?

These are just a few ideas on how to make your CSR’s day more interesting! All of which can be tweaked for personal taste.

Penny Dreadful Installment 1

The little pink nose trembled; something in the air seemed off. Oh yes, there was the usual hint of lilacs and daffodils in the air, but there something beyond that, something his little nostrils hadn’t quite smelled before. Douglas stopped and delicately placed the basket on the ground and scratched a long silky ear with a sweet, white hind foot. For the fourth time today, he lamented that his parents had deemed to name his older no-good of a rabbit brother Peter. Oh how perfect it would have been to be named Peter! Who ever heard of Douglas, the Easter Bunny? His perfect ears twitched irritably. But no matter, there was candy to deliver, and this was his last stop. There would be no letting Easter™ down. Grabbing the basket again, he hopped himself up onto the steps of the last house and placed the goodies just so by the front door and turned to
leave. The sound of the front door being pulled open on distressed hinges made him turn around, and the hair on, well, all of him, stood on end. A hand reached out of the blackness beyond the door, and paused over the basket. A voice echoed from inside the hallway. “ooh, a bunny” Douglas felt his ears being snatched at, and wind in his fur as he was yanked into the gloom beyond.

As his eyes adjusted, a female face pulled itself closer. Reddish hair, the color of warm cinnamon bobbed and weaved itself around with unnatural animation. A smile that looked happy and sane appeared on the girls face, and would have looked perfect had Douglas not looked up into her eyes as she did so. He started to shake, and his little bunny bowels shifted and threatened to loosen.

“Look,” she thrust Douglas
an arms length away, and he saw another figure coming near. ‘Oh dear God’, He whimpered. ‘There
are two of them?’

“And look”, she giggled, “He brought us chocolate!” Her grip tightened on his ears. The other figure moved closer to Douglas and peered at him with thin arms crossed. Strange shadows moved and eddied there; this unsettled Douglas, as the thin mottled light that came through the filthy window was behind the figure, and should not be casting such images.

The other person, who was now identifiable as a male, stretched out a long finger and gently stroked Douglas’s nose. Had he the capacity, Douglas would have tried to smile or purr or something that would convince these people into letting him go. He did his best with blinking his jelly bean – like eyes and making his adorable nose (people did comment on how cute his nose was; well it was mostly his mother, but that must count for something?) twitch.

The shadows on the arm that touched him flooded down towards the wrist and gathered at his hand; turning it dark and stormy. Douglas got the distinct impression he was being smelled by something. He made the mistake of looking down, and saw images, faces swirling under the skin. Whatever it was, it must have been satisfied as it went slithering up its owner’s limb again.

Douglas was brought into the kitchen, where he heard vague mutterings from the stove. A brief glimpse to the right confirmed the pot was making disparaging comments about the kettle. He was dropped with care onto the wooden table, filled with dishes crusted with the strata of distant meals.

The male, (the girl called him ‘D’, and he referred to her as ‘S’) selected a green jelly bean from the basket. It had been a verdant green of new spring, but now took on a deep and more disturbing venomous color. D held it to his forearm, and a being, rabbit in shape, scabrous in form, yellow in tooth, leapt from its inky confines and ingested the confection.

S clapped her hands merrily. “Do itagain! Do it again!” Her hair twisting and winding itself into various forms as she watched the performance. Her stomach growled, rattling the ribs in her skinny frame. She turned to the quivering leporidae to her right. “My inner fat girl is hungry.” Her teeth lengthening and sharpening at each word.

D pegged a solid chocolate rabbit at her head. “If we eat it, we can’t keep it. And you know what that
means.”

Douglas’s teeth ground together. There had been rumors of the last Easter Bunny. Some said he went funny after eating too many Cadbury eggs; some suggested a dalliance with Morgana and Pan, but now he knew the real truth. It
was them.

They were stealing the Easter Bunnies. But why?
